Children’s Aid Society of Toronto Stands in Solidarity with 2SLGBTQ+ Communities

Pride flag and Children's Aid Society of Toronto Logo

The Children’s Aid Society of Toronto stands in solidarity and support of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities everywhere and condemns acts that negatively impact these individuals, including our staff, community members and the children, youth and families that we serve.

Alongside the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Society of Ontario, and other child welfare agencies across the province, we recognize that Pride flags are powerful symbols which promote inclusivity and safety, especially for children and youth. We are honoured to share our public commitment to showcase the Pride flag across our workplaces and sites in support of 2SLGBTQ+ communities all year round.

In efforts to support and affirm the identities of those we serve, we offer programs and services that are designed to support children and youth and their families who are members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities. Learn more about the Out and Proud program here and access our Out and Proud Affirmation Guidelines here.

Additionally, our Agency provides a variety of training and resources to help staff learn more about promoting and providing an inclusive environment for everyone, inside and outside of our organization.
