Over the course of the year, PARC hosts a series of workshops and courses for youth preparing to transition to independence. These sessions run anywhere from 4-14 weeks and serve as a learning opportunity for youth to develop and enhance their skills, learn from one another and to build their community.

Workshops currently being offered at PARC include: financial literacy, adulthood, healthy relationships, emotional intelligence and more. Please see below for our upcoming events and workshops.

If you are a youth in or transitioning from care and would like to learn more about one or more of these workshops or courses, please speak to your worker or contact PARC during business hours at 416-462-1010.

Courses available include:

Ahead of the Game is a mentoring program for Black youth facilitated by Jonathon Hood, professional athlete, motivational speaker, personal coach and youth mentor. The group provides a safe space for youth of African heritage to discuss matters important to them such as identity, self- image, goal setting, overcoming diversity and communication.

PARC’s Financial Literacy workshop teaches young people how to handle money through effective banking and budgeting strategies, while helping to increase a youth’s confidence and empower them to save money and begin building assets.
