Training
At the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto our internal Department, the Child Welfare Institute, is dedicated to offering workshops and learning opportunities for our Agency’s staff, and individuals and organizations in the community who are working with children, youth and families involved with child welfare.
Workshops and training initiatives focus on:
- Promoting on-the-job competencies
- Enhancing clinical skills in working with at-risk children and families
- Realizing evidence-based practice and building research capacity
- Organizing symposia in specialized topics
- Advancing professional development and leadership competencies for front-line practitioners and management
- Partnering with Universities and Colleges to provide advanced level training
