On June 17 at 2PM, join us for a free virtual training designed for camp staff and counsellors, focused on understanding and fulfilling your Duty to Report concerns about the safety and well-being of children and youth. In less than 90 minutes, this session provides clear and practical guidance to help participants feel more confident in their roles when working with children and families. Whether you are new to camp environments or returning for another season, this workshop offers essential knowledge to support a safe and informed summer.
What you’ll learn:
- How to recognize different types of neglect and abuse
- Your responsibilities when working with children and youth
- When and how to contact a child welfare agency
- How we can work together to strengthen and support families
This training is designed to be accessible, easy to follow and directly relevant to real-world situations. Participants have shared that the session increases their confidence in meeting Duty to Report requirements and deepens their understanding of how to engage with child welfare agencies. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and learn from an expert during the session.
