Mohamed Shafeek

Mohamed joined CAST in September 2012 as Chief Financial Officer.  He was previously Vice-President of Finance & Operations at the Toronto Board of Trade, Chief Financial Officer at South West Community Care Access Centre and Vice-President of Finance at Super Electric Corporation.  Prior to this Mohamed was with Volvo Cars of Canada as Vice-President of Finance.  He also held senior financial positions at Volvo Cars of North America, Schindler Elevator Corp and Colgate-Palmolive Canada.  Mohamed is a strategic leader that has a proven track record in building strong relationship with stakeholders even during large scale transformations.

Mohamed is a Certified General Accountant and holds an MBA from Laurentian University.  He volunteers at Seneca College as a member of the accounting and finance advisory committee and has taught finance courses at various colleges in the Toronto area.
