May 4th to May 10th marks Child and Youth Counsellor week in Ontario. Child and Youth Workers play an essential and pivotal role in the lives of children, youth and families that receive services from the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto.

Our Agency employs over 100 Child and Youth Worker’s(CYW’s) in various positions throughout the Agency. Some of the positions held by CYW’s include: Residential and Day Treatment staff, Family Support Workers, Kinship Care Support Workers, Case Aides, Foster Care Resource Workers, Placement Support Workers, Volunteer Coordinators, workers in our Access Centre’s, as well as staff in child protection positions.

We want to acknowledge the commitment, dedication and efforts of our CYW’s as they assist our Agency on a daily basis in meeting our vision of, ‘creating a city where children are safe, families are strong and communities are supported.’

Thank you to all of our Child Youth Worker’s for your ongoing efforts to improve the lives of the individuals you come into contact with on a daily basis.
